TERMS AND CONDITIONS


The terms and conditions outlined below apply to all Guests booking the Mitai Māori Cultural Experience
offered by Mitai Holdings Limited trading as Mitai Māori Village.

  1. Booking and Reservations:

    1. Reservations can be made through our official website, over the phone, or in person at ourbooking office.
    2. A valid email address and contact number must be provided at the time of booking.
    3. All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of Mitai Māori Village.
  2. Prices and Age Requirements:

    1. All prices stated are in New Zealand dollars and include Goods & Services Tax (GST). Prices are correct at the date of publication but are subject to change.
  3. Check-In Details:

    1. Guests are required to check in on arrival at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time o the cultural experience.
    2. Late arrivals may result in missing certain aspects of the experience, and no refunds or
      rescheduling will be provided for latecomers.
    3. Participants must present a valid booking confirmation or identification upon check-in.
  4. Cancellations and Refunds:

    1. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time will be eligible for a full
      refund.
    2. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 24 hours before the scheduled start time will receive a
      50% refund.
    3. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time or no-shows will not be
      eligible for a refund.
    4. In the event that Mitai Māori Village needs to cancel the cultural experience due to unforeseen
      circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
  5. Updates and Rebookings:

    1. When booking online, you have the ability to rebook on your own to future dates that have capacity via your booking confirmation.
      If you require Mitai Māori Village to make changes and updates to your booking this will incur a fee per change for the following:

      1. Date changes to booking.
      2. Updates to the number of participants.
      3. Adding transportation/location to existing bookings.
    2. Check the details of booking before submission. Any rebookings requiring assistance from Mitai Maori Village will incur a NZD$5.00 fee per update.
  6. Health and Safety:

    1. Participants are responsible for their own health and safety during the cultural experience.
    2. Any medical conditions that may impact visit or dietary requirements must be communicated to Mitai Māori Village at the time of booking.
    3. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited during the cultural experience.
    4. Mitai Māori Village reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any individual who is deemed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, behaving inappropriately, or posing a risk to themselves or others.
    5. Participants consent to receive any medical treatment which may be deemed necessary in the case of injury, accident or illness suffered while participating in the Mitai Māori Village experience and to indemnify Mitai Holdings Limited against any claims in respect of such treatment.
  7. Photography and Videography:

    1. Participants are welcome to take photographs and videos for personal use during the cultural
      experience.
    2. Commercial photography or videography for promotional purposes is strictly prohibited without
      prior written consent from Mitai Māori Village.
  8. Liability

    Notwithstanding anything else contained in these Booking Terms and Conditions, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Mitai Māori Village (including Mitai Māori Village officers and/or its employees) does not have any liability whatsoever to the Participant or any other person for any claims, losses, expenses (including legal costs on a solicitor own client basis) that may have been incurred by a Participant or any other party either during, or in any way related to, a Participant’s participation in the Cultural Experience, including (but not limited to) any liability for:

  • personal injury or death;
  • property loss or damage;
  • disruption to travel plans;
  • acts which may be negligent or accidental;
  • any mental injury or any other loss, damage, suffering, emotional or nervous disorder;
  • any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind including any financial loss.

Notwithstanding anything else contained in these Booking Terms and Condition, if Mitai Māori Village is
found liable in any circumstances whatsoever, Mitai Māori Village total liability is limited (to the fullest
extent permitted by law) to a maximum aggregate amount of the ticket price paid by the Participant.

8. Indemnity

The Participant must indemnify and hold harmless Mitai Māori Village (including Mitai Māori Village
directors, agents and employees), and the shareholders of the property on which the Mitai Māori Village
is conducted (the Released Parties) from any and all loss, costs, claims, damages, expenses whatsoever
(including all legal costs and expenses incurred on a solicitor/own client basis) the Released Parties may
incur as a result of the Participant’s participation in Mitai Māori Village, any breach of the Booking Terms
and Conditions by any representation made, or any act, omission, or negligence committed by the
Participant.

9. Jurisdiction

These Booking Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with New Zealand
law. The Participant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand with respect
to any claim or matter arising out of or in connection with these Booking Terms and Conditions.
By making a reservation and participating in the Mitai Māori Village cultural experience, all guests agree
to comply with these terms and conditions.
